D1X Range of Hazardous Area Alarm Signals Obtains Marine Approvals

The D1X range of hazardous area sounders and beacons, from E2S, has rapidly become a market leader since their launch in 2019.

On the reasons for this is the vast range of approvals the D1X range already has!

As standard the product comes with ATEX, IECEX and UL, making the range globally acceptable for hazardous area alarm signaling.

New for 2024 the D1X range has obtained DNV and MED marine approvals. DNV and MED approval requires stringent testing on the units and sets them apart in terms of quality and versatility for the marine market.

The DNV and MED approval, alongside the aforementioned approvals, will ensure market acceptance into the marine and offshore markets.

The new approvals cover;

D1XS1F Sounder – high output (115 db(A))  alarm sounder with choice of 64 tones and 4 selectable tones. The tones cover the PFEER offshore requirements and compatible to annunciate the ships muster alarm. The unit is IP66 and made from marine grade aluminum. The D1XS1F is also SIL1 & SIL2 Route 2H compliant to IEC61508 (2010) as standard, making it even more preferrable for the offshore market.

D1XB2X05 Beacon – 5J Xenon beacon also comes in an IP66, marine grade aluminum enclosure. It has two alarm stages and 4 selectable flash patterns. Also SIL1 and Sil2 Route 2H compliant, the D1XB2X05 beacon has three optional mounting brackets, as well as direct mount, ensuring easy installation for all applications.

LGM is excited to be adding these two hazardous areas products to our extensive range of marine approved equipment.

Going forward, and to continue to show our commitment to the marine sector, LGM will be stocking these two new units in 24vdc and red lens version.
